Circular Symphony

We’re caught on a lonely sea
A circular symphony
A speck, a seed
A perfect scene

With puzzles and mysteries
Science, discoveries
A wall, a shield
Of new ideas

A people, disharmony
Difference in view so far apart

Some say that the strongest thing
Is faith in what can’t be seen
A light, divine—a deity

Well, that’s not okay with me
I need more than old stories
It’s proof, backing basically

Tell me,
Do you think that we are a part of a plan and are we chosen?

I’m 11, thoughts of hell and heaven
Sunday mornings, the pancakes—steamin’
27, never going back again
Doesn’t mean that I’d change a thing

I used to think that I’d never die
I was lost, my eyes—I was blind
Satisfied

Tell me,
Do you think that we are a part of a plan and are we chosen?

I used to think that I’d never die
I was lost, my eyes—I was blind
Satisfied
